Summary (Spoilers ahead!)

Frystin has the day off from class and decides to train his element that day. While on his way to training, he catches Isalea in the hallway and decides to mess with her, and asks her what she’s up to. She says that their grandfather, Vetre, needs her for something and this angers Frystin. He blocks her from leaving, and torments her further, with Isalea growing increasingly distressed. She snaps at him due to her anxiety, and it only angers Frystin further. 

He proceeds to psychologically torment her, telling her about the ‘harsh reality’ that purple ice dragons go through, aiming to frighten her. Before he can go any further, however, he is scared off by Vetre who enters the room looking for Isalea. Frystin leaves, but not before telling Isalea to think about what he said to her. Vetre knows that Frystin’s been around and is angered by this and attempts to comfort Isalea, before he takes her away.
