Summary (Spoilers ahead!)

After being rejected as an Apprentice by the Wind Guardian of the Zephyr Kingdom, Lord Auracius sets out to grasp for power through his daughter with other means. Selling her into marriage.

With interest by the leading mixed clan of Warfang, Auracius takes Auralis to Warfang City to meet her potential suitor. Auralis has no choice but to obey, lest her father sells her younger siblings in her place.

They meet with Commander Undacus, the Scion heir, and are introduced to General Skogur, the clan Patriarch. While Auracius and Skogur talk, Undacus reluctantly takes Auralis to meet Icarius. Both Undacus and Skogur know that Icarius is dangerous, but Skogur assures Auracius that his grandson is harmless. Auracius doesn't particularly care either way.

When Auralis and Icarius meet, they both find each other very attractive. However, Auralis quickly discovers that Icarius views her as something he can possess. He sexualizes her and says inappropriate things. Auralis has no choice but to allow it to happen, fearing her father's retaliation.

Trying to distract him, she asks to take a walk through the gardens with him. As they do this, however, Icarius takes her feigned interest and the offer for a walk as an invitation to sleep with her. He ignores her attempts at getting out of the situation as 'playing hard to get', and goes too far. Auralis snaps at him, finally dropping the mask. Once Icarius realizes she's genuinely rejecting him, he becomes angry.

Undacus returns, not having trusted his brother alone with Auralis, and fortunately intervenes, allowing Auralis to get away.

Meanwhile, Auracius has moved on from General Skogur and managed to capture the interest of General Tordner of Stormbringer, who wants to meet Auralis as a possible suitor for his heir, Lynerius. Auralis is forced to recover from her assault and humor the unknowing General.

Auracius returns to Skogur only to be told that Auralis had 'walked out on Icarius' - the Patriarch twisting the words from Undacus to put the blame on Auralis.

When heading for their temporary home, Auracius blows up on Auralis for humiliating him, and he shows no concern for her when she pleads to not be married to Icarius. He threatens her again by suggesting he marry one of his younger daughters to Icarius, forcing Auralis to back down. She agrees to apologize to Icarius.

A few days later, they show up at the Scions Aether estate again so that she can do so. Auracius meets Icarius himself, and also finds him unsettling and pushy - though this doesn't deter him.

Auralis apologizes for 'what she did', much to Icarius' enjoyment, and they part ways until next time.
