Trivia

⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺⸺

  • Before their introduction, Hydris and Rayne's names were swapped.

  • Hydris and Rayne are impossible for strangers to tell apart - even their voices are the same, androgynous pitch. Their family and flight identifies them either by the slight differences in their spots, or their mannerisms.

  • Neither of them feel strongly about their gender, leaning masculine/feminine but not non-binary, nor male/female. They don't mind gendered pronouns/language. Their family thinks this has to do with the fact that they shared the same egg but are different sexes, leaving their minds and spirits 'in the middle'. Or, it is simply because they're so used to being referred to as a single, gender-neutral entity, due to others' difficulty differentiating them.
